I've switched to Fedora Silverblue on my main machine and appreciate the direction this OS is taking things. Upgrades between OS versions have been smooth and each time feels like starting on a clean, fresh pressed shirt... all without losing my setup, customisations, IDE etc.

The couple of gripes I've had have been:

  1. Painful gymnastics to get v4l2loopback working and redoing this for each kernel update!
  2. Rubbish video on out of the box Firefox.

The 2nd has had me skulking back to Chrome for Youtube. However this is now behind me as the flatpak version of Firefox is the latest and greatest with solid codec support.. woot!

# Remove the bundled version of Firefox
rpm-ostree override remove firefox

# Install the flatpak
flatpak install flathub org.mozilla.firefox

or click the 'INSTALL' link on the flathub web listing.
